Simple science may have the answer as to why the fire at the Grenfell Tower accelerated out of control. Water that soaked into the cladding was superheated in the fire and released hydrogen which burns in its own right and caused the fire to burn out of control. This may not have been considered before with cladding towers but Amsco hope that it will surely change regulations for future builds and refurbishments.
