Sad news that a fire in Korea has taken 37 lives in a Korean hospital and that over 70 more patients were injured. It seems that the hospital did not have sprinklers fitted and despite this not being a legal requirement a neighbouring nursing home did have sprinklers fitted. We believe the legal requirement to fit sprinklers needs to be established for all public buildings to avoid disasters like this.
